Install

We install it for you.

We install it for you, or send you a one-line snippet and step-by-step guide for your platform (Shopify, WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, HTML). Here is what each platform guide involves.

How installation works: when your advisor is ready, we install it for you, or send you a one-line snippet with your bot ID and the guide for your platform. The guides below show what that involves; the example shows the format.

Shopify

  1. In Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
  2. On your current theme, click ⋯ → Edit code.
  3. Open layout/theme.liquid.
  4. Paste the snippet just above </body> and click Save.

WordPress

  1. Install a free header/footer plugin such as WPCode (Plugins → Add New).
  2. Go to Code Snippets → Header & Footer.
  3. Paste the snippet into the Footer box and save.
  4. If you use a page builder or caching plugin, clear its cache.

Wix

  1. In your Wix dashboard, go to Settings → Custom Code (under Advanced; a Premium plan with a connected domain is needed).
  2. Click + Add Custom Code and paste the snippet.
  3. Choose All pages, place it in Body – end, and click Apply.

Squarespace

  1. Go to Settings → Advanced → Code Injection (Website → Pages → Custom Code on newer versions; a Business plan or higher is needed).
  2. Paste the snippet into the Footer box.
  3. Click Save.

Webflow

  1. Open Site settings → Custom code.
  2. Paste the snippet into Footer code and save.
  3. Click Publish to push the change live.

Plain HTML

  1. Open each page (or your shared footer/template).
  2. Paste the snippet just before </body>.
  3. Upload the changed files.

Troubleshooting

  • I can't see the chat button. Open your site in a private/incognito window, and clear any caching plugin or CDN cache.
  • It shows on some pages only. Make sure the snippet is in a site-wide footer or template, not a single page.
  • My platform won't let me add code. Some plans block custom code (e.g. free Wix, Squarespace Personal). Upgrade, or ask us for a hosted link you can add as a button instead.
  • It conflicts with another chat widget. Turn the other widget off, or tell us and we'll position ours to avoid it.
  • Content Security Policy errors. Allow https://followloop.app in script-src and connect-src, or send us the error.
